Hi Marilyn, thank you for your comment and this important piece of history from Quincy Medical Center. The majority of plaques and commemorative items were removed prior to FoxRock purchasing the property, and unfortunately we don't know what happened to them. We have made efforts to protect anything that remains with plans of incorporating them into the redevelopment. Our team will keep an eye out for any additional items of historic significance as the project progresses. If you want to email me at cclem@foxrockproperties.com with more information about the specific one you mentioned, I'd be happy to look for it specifically.

Hi Marjorie, apologies for the confusion (we just added a post about this), but there will not be a hearing on August 1st for 114 Whitwell. We will update ASAP when we know the anticipated schedule for next meetings.

Hi Maureen, we look forward to answering these questions and more as the planning process continues. The bulk of parking will be located within the footprint(s) of the buildings, taking advantage of the existing excavations from the hospital buildings to locate some parking below-grade instead of on a surface lot. Trash collection is being considered as the building design process advances, with trash rooms inside the parking structures of the multifamily buildings. As Michael Leblanc from Utile mentioned at Tuesday's meeting, they are being thoughtful about where and how height and terraces are located and will incorporate these concerns and feedback into the process.

Thanks for the input, Thomas. Including an ATM wasn't on our radar yet, so its good to know that multiple people would like to see it included there.

Thank you for this feedback as well. We believe that the proposed solution for the Euclid Avenue gate is a good balance for the community and the development.

Hi Daniel, thank you for your comment and we look forward to answering these questions as the planning process continues and we expand upon Tuesday's presentation with more information. Our goal of starting with the master plan concept was to establish and announce our anticipated path forwards, and we will work with our design team and the Quincy Planning Department to answer these questions in subsequent meetings and in the final Site Plan application.

Thanks for the note, Chris. I know that Klopfer Martin is looking at potential future lighting options to ensure safety in the park, while not over-lighting. A delicate balance! They are pulling together precedent images from other, comparable projects as a reference for what might work, if you (or any one else) has ideas of what might be a good fit, please feel free to share! Thanks again.

Daniel, thanks for the input. The operations and maintenance are a key piece of the planning for the future of Glendale Park, and will be done in conjunction with the redevelopment. In the meantime, we will look at how to cut down on the poison ivy, etc.– I liked the idea about goats!

Hi Carol and Jay, thank you for you comments. As we announced last November, we have signed a memorandum of understanding with a major medical provider to pursue a modern medical campus in downtown Quincy. The former QMC buildings are functionally obsolete, and we explored a master plan with a leading medical architecture firm to determine what a new-construction medical campus would look like on the site (11/17/2017 Presentation: https://bit.ly/2qmV0Zl) but it was more dense and impactful than would be appropriate for the neighborhood. After conversations last year with the leadership at multiple medical institutions and the City of Quincy, the consensus was that the future of medical care in Quincy should be downtown where it could take advantage of the T and new infrastructure (e.g. arterial roads like Burgin/Hannon Parkways to connect to Route 3).
