HRI is looking forward to sharing information about the historic renovation of the Saunders House at the March 15th meeting. Given the mansion's historic status, and the interest from the Cambridge Historical Commission in preserving it, HRI is developing an approach that accounts for the rehabilitation of the mansion while meeting the need for more affordable housing. We're excited to show you and other nearby residents current plans, and would welcome your feedback on public art that enhances the character of the project.

Absolutely! The historic mansion located at 1627 Mass Ave was originally constructed in 1862, and later lived in by former Mayor of Cambridge Charles Saunders. We're excited to partner with the Cambridge Historical Commission on this notable preservation!

Thank you for this valuable insight, Katherine. Many of the rehabilitated and newly constructed buildings in HRI's portfolio are home to longtime residents of Cambridge, who also prefer to keep their work commutes as short as possible.
