Thanks for your comment! There may be such an opportunity here, but I would note that there are plans afoot for the City to provide a dog park on the neighboring Binney Park parcel located on Galileo Way.

You can find the plans here: https://www.cambridgema.gov/CDD/Projects/Parks/binneystreetpark

Though these are highly preliminary estimates, we believe that the residential as conceived in our proposal will add a population of between 700-800 and the commercial 3000-5000. That said, as mentioned previously, these numbers are likely subject to change as further study takes place.

Great question Bob--thank you for asking it. We are open to a discussion regarding transit mitigation and think that your reference to the Grand Junction is perceptive. That said, the level of heavy infrastructure investment required to enable this project is substantial--integrated as it is with the proposed location of an Eversource substation. This broader economic context will therefore have to substantially inform/shape conversations related to mitigation.

Sandy - Are you referring to Winthrop Square in Brookline?

The design goal will be to improve the public access ways from all directions into the site. Inviting landscape design and wayfinding will be key.

Thanks for the suggestion. So you know, there are public restrooms going into the 325 Main Street building at both the ground level and the renovated roof garden.

Joseph do you happen to have any particular uses in mind to sustain after-hours use? Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts!

Thanks for your comment, Joseph. We hope that the accelerated delivery of additional residential units as part of this project will help support this vision.

Thank you for your question, Bjorn. Yes, EMF (Electromagnetic Field) studies are a state requirement and will be publicly available.

Parcel Two is the block bounded by Binney St., Galileo Way, Broadway, and the 6th Street Walkway (Officer Loughrey Way and the Kitty Knox Bike Path)
