What’s in the Works

Alta Housing is excited to bring a 51-unit 100% affordable housing community to Redwood City. In partnership with San Mateo County, the current Comfort Inn motel will be remodeled to become permanent support housing for homeless and formerly homeless individuals in the area. As part of the redevelopment, Alta Housing and MHA will be providing case management, resident engagement, health and wellness programs, and job counseling to ensure that our residents lead vibrant lives in their new homes. Additional services will be provided by the County of San Mateo Behavioral Health & Recovery Services and Veterans Affairs Office, as needed.

What’s Happening Next

Alta Housing is wrapping up the first phase of construction on Casa Esperanza. This phase includes a remodel of current motel rooms into permanently affordable housing.
