We’re building a new foundation at 809 Oliver Hill Way!

Hello everyone! It’s been a long bit since our last post and so we wanted to provide folks with a summary of our work to engage and prioritize youth voices in the reimagining of 809 Oliver Hill Way.

Please click on the link to access the “Oliver Hill Way study” which in addition to being a guiding document as we move into a new phase of engagement and design, also captures the ideas and literal designs collected from Richmond area youth over the past six months. Specifically, the study includes:

  • the Vision, Goals, and Action underlying our work to engage youth and ensure their participation in the project throughout design, construction, and operation;
  • an unfiltered, nonprioritized list of needs for a YouthHub, youth focused permanent supportive housing, affordable housing for families and supporting office space;
  • and unvarnished feedback collected from youth.

Given our goals and intended audience for the project, we are still very much committed to ideating and working towards creating whatever our youth can dream. We are so thankful and appreciative of everyone’s time, energy, and participation and very much value your feedback. As a reminder, you can post publicly on the “Feedback” tab of this website or email your thoughts directly to charles.hall@cccofva.org. Stay tuned for next steps!

Welcome to our new virtual meeting home for all things 809 Oliver Hill Way!

We've built this platform for the specific purpose of supporting public feedback and conversation to inform the Reimagining of 809 Oliver Hill Way. Our goal is not only to create a unique, first-of-its-kind building dedicated to supporting and housing Richmond's youth but also to facilitate a process that is as open and transparent and empowering as possible.
