Thank you to everyone for engaging with us through the CoUrbanize platform and adding your voice to the Briscoe Village project. We will be taking a temporary pause on engagement for the project as we work through some logistical details. We are eager to continue our work on making this project a reality and continuing our engagement with the Beverly community. We should have more information to share later in 2021. Comments will close at the end of this year, but the page will remain up for record-keeping purposes. We hope everyone has a safe and healthy holiday season and new year.
Harborlight Community Partners & Beacon Communities
Dear Friends & Neighbors,
We hope all of you are dong well and have lifted spirits with the improved weather. Harborlight Community Partners (HCP) and Beacon Communities continue to work on advancing Briscoe Village for Living & the Arts (BVLA).
Great News! In addition to completing the signed Purchase & Sale Agreement, and submitting the application for historic designation submitted, the City Council of Beverly unanimously approved the Special Permit to continue with BVLA. The next step will be the financing application process.

We want to continue to hear from you! Please share your ideas and questions on the project in our comments section.
If you wish to be on the list to apply for housing at BVLA (still a long way off) you can complete the form to request Leasing Information so we know to reach out to you when the time comes.
Harborlight Community Partners and Beacon Communities Team
Dear community members,
We hope everyone continues to be safe and healthy during this challenging time. The HLC and Beacon team is pleased to let you know that despite the Covid-19 crisis, we've been actively working on the Briscoe School design. We've submitted our first historic application and have been reviewing preliminary plans/design with the City staff.
It's been great to hear the community's input on the project thus far. In the coming weeks, we'll share more updates as we work toward completing this preliminary round of designs and permitting meeting with the City team but, in the meantime, please continue to share your ideas and questions on the project in our comments section.

Thank you to everyone who came out to first community meeting hosted by Ward 3 Councilor Stacey Ames and the Ward 3 Civic Association. Mayor Mike Cahill and Ward 1 City Councilor Todd Rotondo also joined us, as well as members of the Beverly Police Department. Great night for dialogue and a robust Q & A about Briscoe Village for Living & the Arts, plans, time lines and more. If you missed it, there will be more opportunities for community discussion. If you have questions, please share in the comments section. Also, encourage friends and neighbors to sign up for updates from this site, and answer our Poll Question #1. We want to hear from you!
