I think you should send out mailers to the nearby residents to let them know this project is happening and and let them know how they can be apart of it and have input.

Do you identify this neighborhood as Garfield Park or Fifth City or both? What does each name mean to you?

Both and if this is going to change the neighborhood for the better you should call it 5th city, in an effort to rebrand it.

What kind of small and medium-sized retail tenants would you like to see on the building's first floor?

I’d like to see a farmers market with fresh produce, a Roti or a Sweet Green. Some restaurants that have healthier options. Tho Roti is a whit owned company they’re based in Chicago and have a Black CEO.

Trader Joe's is also known for its racist branding. I'd rather see a space where different vendors and farmers can sell fresh and home-made goods than a franchise place so far disconnected from GP.

We need groceries stores nice restaurants a place where young adults can have some activities to engage with. We need Counselors, Mentors.

Maybe we could be trusted to have liquor stores and beauty supply shops just like White neighborhoods if the same amount of investment occurred in Garfield Park, too.
