  • Preliminary Draft - Neighbourhood Plan Released

    On May 22, 2018 Common Council endorsed the draft release of the plan for further public consultation over the period of June. Staff are aiming to initiate formal adoption in the fall of 2018. The documents are available in the Info section of this website.

  • Public Open House

    Be a part of what’s taking shape on the central peninsula. The City of Saint John and Urban Strategies Inc. is hosting a public open house to share progress on the development of the neighbourhood plan and to receive feedback on the draft materials and direction of the plan.     The Central Peninsula Summit public workshop is a free event structured around a series of thematic discussions. Participants will be presented background information, and then invited to explore ideas and key place-making opportunities within each theme to bring about positive change and better position the Central Peninsula as a valued place where people want to live, work,recreate, and raise a family. - The ideas that emerge from the Summit will shape the Central Peninsula Neighbourhood Action Plan, which will demonstrate how strategic public sector improvements and private sector developments can bring about positive transformation over the next 25 years. - Location: Saint John the Baptist - King Edward School 223 St. James Street - Time: 4:00PM - 5:00PM - Lunch & Refreshments Provided!

    The Central Peninsula Summit Kick-Off evening is an opportunity to learn about the Central Peninsula Neighbourhood Action Plan, the Summit, and to broadly explore key themes , as well as key issues and opportunities facing the Peninsula. The project team will provide a detailed presentation on the community feedback provided so far, on the opportunities and challenges that the Central Peninsula faces today, and describe the nature of the visioning exploration to occur over the next two days of the Summit.
