The Central Peninsula is taking shape
Saint John's Central Peninsula is the heart of the city. With more than 8,000 residents living in 2.5 square kilometres, the Central Peninsula is the densest and most urban part of the city. Though it makes up less than 1% of the total land area, it provides approximately 14,000 jobs and is a vibrant hub for arts, culture, and heritage. In recent years, there has been increasing momentum and action within the Central Peninsula. The Uptown area is growing in population and in things to do. At the same time, there are areas that are underutilized.

We're making a plan
The Central Peninsula Neighbourhood Action Plan seeks to capture this momentum and build on these opportunities to create positive transformation. The plan will bring PlanSJ to life at the neighbourhood level.
We need your help
The City is seeking your input on how the Central Peninsula should grow and evolve over the next 25 years. There are two easy ways to get involved: (1) Answer a question and make a post on the map (2) Leave a comment. There will be many opportunities for involvement over the course of the plan, including open houses, workshops, pop up events, and focus group sessions. Check out the Updates section for the latest on all events!
