Welcome Back! Cleveland Public Library Set to Reopen the Jefferson Branch

Cleveland Public Library invites the community to the grand opening of the reimagined Jefferson Branch in the heart of Tremont on Saturday, October 15 at 12:00 p.m.

Community members will get a chance to reconnect with their favorite librarian and learn about new services. There will also be food, entertainment, and fun activities for the entire family. 

Williams Architects and Wanix Architects kept the historic Carnegie Library charm of the Jefferson Branch while expanding capacity. Branch highlights include:

  • A larger children’s area and teen nook 
  • A laptop bar 
  • Two new meeting rooms 
  • Book lockers for after-hours access to materials

Happy Plants found New Homes!

Thanks to everyone who adopted some plants as we prepare for our new landscaping. We'd love to see a picture of the plants in their new homes. You can post photos in the FEEDBACK SECTION.

The Jefferson Branch project includes new landscaping and a bigger bioswale. Stop by and adopt our current outdoor plants if you have a space for them. See you then!

Construction will begin in late Spring. To prepare for the building projects, Jefferson did not reopen for browsing on February 22 with the rest of the Library system. Curbside and walk-up services will be available until 6 p.m. on Friday, April 2. At that time, Jefferson will close for construction. Patrons are encouraged to visit another Cleveland Public Library location or utilize our books by mail service, Words on Wheels.
