Love that winter activation and usage have been taken into consideration with the proposed sledding hill. Additional year-round programming should be integral to future plans and designs, so this incredible...

It would be great to be able to purchase refreshments—including alcohol—that could be consumed within the park’s limits. This has been a huge success w/ some of the land managed by the Cleveland Metroparks...

One way to explore this as a possibility is to work with us at Bookhouse Brewing, across the street from the proposed site. We could be the origin point for all alcohol service under a DORA arrangement,...

Alcohol? Maybe not so much. Is that really in line with the "all people feel welcome" objective? And I'm not sure that partnering with a specific vendor for alcohol would benefit the park as much as it...

BYOB is against the law in public spaces in Ohio. Limited-time alcohol vendors have to get a temporary license that can take weeks to issue, and the sales must go to a nonprofit entity. Alcohol licensing...

Having alcohol doesn't negate "all people are welcome." Unless you're a prohibitionist. If anything it actually welcomes more people. But there must be a proper # of trash/recycling receptacles (i.e. lots!)...

What types of future programming could exist in this park?
I'm biased since I'm involved in rowing, but definitely host tents during regattas and get the public to come watch the Head of the Cuyahoga! Will be a beautiful and perfect spot for it.
Maybe add educational programming about rowing presented by rowing groups, making the park and the sport more accessible to a larger, more diverse audience.
Could also coordinate w/ Edgewater Yacht Club and others to have a sailboat festival. I sail (crew, not own), but I think a lot of sailors would be proud to come show off the boats!

Interactive art to involve public and/or kids, something to experience like the Chicago bean; for example. Cleveland needs color and beauty added to the dark depressing city, a staple art piece to entice...

That's a great idea! Everyone has to go see the bean when they're in Chicago, so adding something to draw people in and make it an experience would be awesome!
Tasteful LED-lit bollards lighting elements of the path and boardwalk - along with some thoughtfully designed street lamps (I'm a sucker for Art-Nouveau - there are a few here and there sprinkled through...

It is UNBELIEVABLE that the project group involved have conceded such a precious location next to/inside the park to be completely dominated by a private establishment — and a George establishment at that....

Should have bought the land before him Ohio city . The restaurant is not his or the land . He just is able to run for ten years. They gave him this ridiculous deal because they had lack of vision
Lack of vision, possible resolve too. But then the Georges' also operate a restaurant on Public Square which is inconsistent w/ The Group Plan as a plan or the organization which "watches over" the public...

How can we ensure that all people feel welcome in the park once it is completed?
In addition to all the attractions and programming, we need public restrooms and drinking fountains! I know the Metroparks does a great job with this, but the City of Cleveland Parks department fails...

YES! Public restrooms! It is an absolute crime and disgrace that we are punished for being human! We all gotta go! Please allow us to with dignity! At least two restroom spots as this park will be absolutely...

Actually, a really cool way to make this happen could be to involve students at technical schools! They could design, build, weld, & paint the bike boxes... Maybe install it with the support of professionals...

I strongly support the idea of trying to keep this space as green as possible/keep concrete to a minimum when it could be a little green space gem in a growing area. Since this park will have some of the...
