About the Lowline

The Lowline is a plan to transform an unused, underground trolley terminal into a green space and community hub in the Lower East Side. We'll use solar technology to bring natural light underground, creating an innovative garden that will host year-round activities for all. Neat, huh?

How to Participate

In December 2016, the Lowline organization kicked off a community engagement process to hear what neighborhood residents want to see in this unique place. This page is home for online input. Two easy ways for you to participate are:

• Leave us your questions, comments, and ideas in the Comments section.
• Participate in an in-person workshop listed on the Timeline. Translators will be present.
