Let’s rethink the amount of parking please. This is a transit rich area and Boston properties shouldn’t be subsidizing drivers at the expense of the planet.
Our work will be guided by the following priorities (see image). Do these align with yours? Would you recommend changes or suggest other ideas?
Wonderful ideas -- make sure that the bike and pedestrian paths are visible and/or protected. And again -- please emphasize the inclusion of natural elements (trees, plants, etc.).

What types of classes, events, activities would you like to see take place on the project’s open space?
The open space above the sub station is a great opportunity for an art pavement. See examples in Lisbon and other Portuguese cities. It would be a salute to the many families from Portugal and te islands...

This project will include new retail space. What kind of retail uses would you like to see in this location?
How about a permanent Farmers Market in lieu of the seasonal one! This would include stalls from local and specialty vendors similar to Eataly or Haymarket

Just a place I can sit and read and eat my lunch and play chess in the shade! Chairs, benches, awnings, sun shades, trees, a water fountain and lots of chess boards!

Small business with arts & culture focus. (I loved Xylem, which had to move away.) Better space for farmers market- maybe a cambridge version of the new haymarket indoor market?

Playground/garden combo. In brookline, theres a park w kids play structures, gorgeous rose garden, and soccer field. Lots of benches & green. This makes a space anyone can use as they like.
