The Glendale City Council unanimously approved the Urban Art Program Plan at its August 15, 2018, meeting.


The next Glendale Arts and Culture Commission meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 16, 2 pm.

Arts & Culture Commission Meeting This Thursday!

This Thursday, March 15th at 2:00 PM, at the Glendale City Hall Council Chamber (613 E Broadway, 2nd Fl), the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission will host their monthly public meeting. They will be reviewing and sharing their thoughts on the final draft of the Glendale Urban Art Program Master Plan! Join us to hear insights from the Arts & Culture Commissioners and share your last-minute comments on the Plan. You can also watch from home through your cable network on GTV6 or live stream online. This is the last public reviewal process before the Glendale Urban Art Program Master Plan is submitted to the Glendale City Council.

GLENDALE PUBLIC ART MASTER PLAN INTERACTIVE SIGNS

Last week, a series of over 50 site-specific signs in English, Armenian & Spanish, were installed throughout the city asking the question, "What kind of public art would you like to see here?".

Passersby are able to answer the question directly by text messaging their response to the phone number listed on the sign.

Pop-Up Public Art Workshop – October 18th

HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF PUBLIC ART IN GLENDALE!

On Wednesday evening, October 18th, 2017 from 6:00–8:00 PM, the Glendale community, including people who live and work in Glendale, are invited to attend a Pop-Up Public Art Workshop to be held at the Glendale Adult Recreation Center located at 201 E Colorado St, next to the Downtown Glendale Central Library.

The Pop-Up Public Art Workshop is an opportunity for the public to learn more about how public art can improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods and allow participants to share their ideas about the future of public art in Glendale. The fun, interactive event will include workshops, guided public art walking tours and refreshments.

Attendance is free and open to the public. Free parking with validation provided for the Marketplace Parking Structure at 120 S Maryland Ave.
