PWC Staff Recommends Approval! Planning Commmission Hearing Next Week!
We are pleased to announce that the Prince William County Staff is recommending APPROVAL of the Quartz District rezoning! This report is the culmination of years of hard work with Prince William County Staff, the Virginia Department of Transportation, adjacent property owners and many of the local citizen groups that have a vested interest in the success of Quartz District.

While this is great news, there are two important steps remaining before Quartz District receives full approval. The first step occurs next Wednesday night as the Quartz District project will be presented before the Prince William County Planning Commission for a public hearing. This is an opportunity for residents to hear about Quartz District, in detail, from the Prince William County Staff and the development team. It also allows residents to make in-person comments on the project. There will likely be discussion between the Planning Commission, Staff and the development team on the various aspects of the project. Ultimately, the Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors to either approve or deny the Quartz District proposal. Once that recommendation is made, the project will be scheduled for a Board of Supervisors hearing sometime later this fall. We will post another update as information becomes available.
