Demolition has now begun at The Residences at Forest Glen. Construction personnel will be using large equipment to demolish existing structures. The demolition and site preparation process will occur throughout the next 2-3 months. After that, excavation and concrete work will commence, providing a foundation for the underground parking garage and apartment building. By early 2024, we anticipate that the building framing will begin, followed by work on interior and exterior elements. The project will be completed by 2025.
MHP recently closed on the financing for the redevelopment of the Forest Glen Apartments community. Demolition of the existing buildings will begin in a few weeks. The overall project is expected to take approximately two years to complete.

As many of us have experienced and observed, the economy has been going through changes lately, especially with high inflation and rising interest rates. Unfortunately, as a result, the construction start date for this project has been delayed by a few months. We have resolved these issues and expect to start construction before the end of the year.
In preparation to start the project, we have over the last couple of years been assisting the current residents in finding and relocating to new homes. As portions of the property have become vacant, it has been necessary to seal them up for the safety of the community. We expect the property to be fully vacant in the next few weeks, at which time all the buildings will be sealed, and a construction/security fence will be placed around the site. Once construction begins, the first process will be the demolition of the entire site.

We are earnestly working on the project these past months. We have completed the Site Plan process. We have submitted the drawings to Department of Permitting (DPS) for building permits. We'll keep everyone updated of the timeline once the permitting process is nearing completion.
