Thank you! Over the last few months the coUrbanize online platform has helped us hear from hundreds of people about the possible future of Newton's Riverside site. Thanks to everyone who shared comments and provided ideas for the vision for Riverside.
Where can I get a copy of the Riverside Vision Plan?
The final Riverside Vision Plan can be downloaded here under the Info tab (there are 3 parts and an appendix) or from the City's website: www.newtonma.gov/riversidevision
Where should I go for more information about the 2019 Riverside Special Permit and Zoning Amendment?
For more information and to follow the Riverside Special Permit process, please go to: www.newtonma.gov/riverside
What will happen with this site?
This is the last you'll hear from us on this coUrbanize page. The project coUrbanize site will be archived but all the links and information will remain available at the same url address.
Thank you to everyone who came out to our second public meeting this past Thursday, March 28! We had a great turnout and were able to have productive discussions with various members of the community, who were able to ask questions and comment on the draft principles of the Vision Plan.
If you missed the event, don’t worry, you can still tell us your thoughts! After reviewing the meeting materials - which include the Vision Team's one-page summary of draft principles, the meeting presentation, and meeting boards detailing draft principles and considerations - please leave your questions and comments on the updated comments tab, which has been reorganized to allow for feedback focused around the Vision Plan topics.
Be sure to leave feedback before the comment period closes next Friday, April 12. We appreciate and look forward to hearing your feedback!
Thank you to everyone who has commented so far! We’ve appreciated all your feedback and it’s help us get a better understanding of the community’s interest and concerns surrounding the Riverside Visioning Process. To continue the dialogue, we’ve added some new questions about local business, community-building, and possible sources of inspiration for the Riverside site.
Click through these new topics in our comments section and post your ideas to help us as we continue the Visioning Process!
We look forward to reading your feedback, and hope to you next Thursday, March 28 for our Second Community Meeting.
Please join us for our second Community Meeting for Riverside Visioning on March 28, 2019 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Lasell College's Winslow Academic Center, de Witt Hall at 80 Maple Street for a summary of comments from the first meeting, site analysis, and draft guiding principles.
