What's in the Works

After a competitive procurement process, Trinity Financial was designated in November 2018 by the Town of Wellesley to redevelop the Tailby and Railroad parking lots on either side of the Wellesley Square commuter rail station. Trinity's current proposal calls for a vibrant mixed-use development that will create 90 units of mixed-income rental and for-sale housing, one-for-one replacement of existing parking spaces, a 200-seat black box theatre and a visual arts space, and improved station accessibility.

What's There Now

The sites are currently two Town-owned parking lots containing 293 spaces that serve train commuters and patrons of the Wellesley Square commercial district. The two parking lots combined are roughly three acres.

What's Happening Next

The Trinity team completed the first phase of its Listening Tour on June 18th. This six-week Listening Tour included small group meetings with stakeholders from across Wellesley, including residents, community groups, neighborhood associations, and local merchants.

The findings from our Listening Tour will be used to inform a series of refinements and improvements to our current set of plans. Once we have done so, we will return in the fall to share our revised plans and to confirm that we have adequately addressed the community's concerns.
