At this meeting we will provide a project update to the Board, and request that they vote to continue the process and set a public hearing date.

During this meeting, the proposed motion to schedule a public hearing could not be finalized as it was not seconded. We took note of the Board's concerns and intend to address them. Our aim is to have our proposal included on the Town Board's upcoming meeting agenda, scheduled for May 4, 2023.
The Board voted unanimously to recommend the PUDD approval to the Town Board, pending receipt of additional information. No action was taken on SEQRA.
For this application, the Planning Board will be providing an advisory opinion to the Town Board and will be lead agent on SEQRA. The project was officially introduced to the Board at this meeting. (Meeting minutes provided at bottom of "Info" tab.)
The Wilton Mall Mixed-Use Planned Unit Development District was voted on by the Wilton Town Board (3 in-favor to 2 opposed) to proceed to the Saratoga County Planning Board and Wilton Planning Board. The Town Board deferred Lead Agency to the Planning Board. (Meeting minutes provided at bottom of "Info" tab.)
Initial petition to the Wilton Town Board to amend the zoning code to include residential and other uses via a zone overlay. Town Board recommended using a Planned Unit Development District instead of a zone overlay. (Meeting minutes provided at bottom of "Info" tab.)
During this initial period, Wilton Mall and Paramount worked closely with the Town of Wilton to develop the most appropriate method to amend the zoning to include a residential use. Meanwhile Paramount's design team began developing schematic site plans and building design.
Wilton Mall and Paramount Development partner together to replace the vacant Bon Ton store with 382 residential units.
Saratoga Hospital opens in the former Sears location, bringing over 100 employees to work, dine, and shop in Wilton.
Bow Tie Cinemas closed in March 2020. Wilton Mall is currently having active conversations with theater operators.
The Sears department store remained vacant since closing in December of 2018 until Saratoga Hospital opened nearly two years later.
Bon-Ton, the department store formerly occupying the project site, closed several years ago and the property has remained vacant since.
Healthy Living Market opens in the remaining space of the former JCPenney store. This concludes a 6-year endeavor to backfill the vacant department store and begins the Mixed Use Evolution of Wilton Mall.
Planet Fitness opens in a portion of the former JCPenney store. With no interest from other department stores, Wilton Mall sought alternative uses to backfill the 5-year vacant store.
JCPenney closes and opens its new store on the South side of Wilton Mall. The former JCPenney store remained vacant until March 2013
