We appreciate everyone who supported our Wilton Mall Planned Unit Development District project at the March 2nd Town Board meeting. Despite the overwhelming positive support, the Town Board did not take action to schedule a public hearing because the motion was not seconded. We listened to the public and Town Board's concerns and plan to address them at our next appearance. We hope to be back on the agenda for the May 4, 2023 meeting. Please submit your Letter of Support if you haven't already and we hope to see you at Town Hall on May 4th.
The future of Wilton Mall and our exciting proposed residential addition will be discussed during the town board meeting on March 2 at 7:00 pm.

We are thrilled to inform you that we have completed the submission of supplemental information in support of our application to both the Town Board and Planning Board. Our objective is to present before the Town Board on March 2nd, 2023. Notably, during the November 16th Planning Board Meeting, all seven board members unanimously voted to recommend the project to the Town Board, provided we supplied additional information. Thank you to our many neighbors for sharing valuable feedback about the proposed residential project. Your comments have helped us to understand the community's main concerns. As of today, they are focused on traffic congestion, affordable versus “luxury,” as well as the public benefits of this development. In response:
Traffic impact is always a major consideration in new developments, and we are confident that it will be minimal based on the results of our Traffic Impact Evaluation Study. This study is public and can be found by visiting the Information & Plans section at the bottom of the INFO tab of our website.
As the community continues to expand and offer exciting employment additions such as Global Foundries, the proposed development will offer a market rate price point for amenity-rich rental units, provide more diverse housing options for the community.
Macerich and Paramount are highly committed to the market and believe that this proposed development will be extremely beneficial in attracting new customers as well as new businesses to the shopping center. Wilton Mall has been an important contributor to the market for many years. Every effort is being made to ensure that the heart of the community remains resilient and that the vital economic support that comes from a regional shopping center continues.
Our team will be meeting with the Town Board on March 2 at 7:00 pm. At the November 16th Planning Board meeting, all 7 board members voted to recommend the project to the Town Board contingent upon us providing additional information. We anticipate appearing before the Planning Board at their January 18th meeting.

Thanks in large part to the proposed residential development, we are excited to share
that the Mall now has interest from a new Theater operator! Negotiations are currently
underway and updates will be provided when available.

Reimagining Wilton Mall as a mixed-use destination first began in 2012 with the addition of non-retail uses, Planet Fitness and Healthy Living Market & Café in the former JCPenney retail space. The Wilton Mall Apartments are just the next step in the Evolution of Wilton Mall, and are sure to be a catalyst for attracting future Retail, Dining, and Entertainment opportunities to the Mall.

The Town of Wilton Planning Board will be reviewing our application for establishing a Planned Unit Development District (PUDD) at the Wilton Mall to allow the development of 382 luxury rental residences. Scroll to the bottom of the Info tab to view the Planning Board Agenda for September 21st.
The creation of a new PUDD at the Wilton Mall to allow mixed-use residential is just the next step in the continued Evolution of the Wilton Mall.
