Thoughtful questions Cathleen! Our team will consider these. Good conversation to have on the community level also.

Thank you for you input! This is in alignment with many comments received at the Neighborhood Design gatherings.

These are fantastic ideas, Carol - and really needed in the community. Thank you!

Terric feedback, Mark and Lynn - thank you. These are great ideas to fold into discussions this Sunday, 7/25 where the community will discuss design ideas for the site.

Terrific ideas, David. The current goal is to turn the property into electric-use only (not propane), and have it as close to Net Zero as possible. Your ideas are welcomed to help make this happen. Can you share them this Sunday 7/25 in the focus group discussions? We have one focus group specificially on Landscape & Natural resources that will discuss sustainability and climate resilient measures to put in place at the site. Thanks again!

Angel, thank you for this feedback! It's so important to recognize the history of this land, from its original inhabitants, to earlier owners, to the families that lived there over a span of 40 years when it was Coast Guard Housing. Thanks so much.

Terrific ideas, Bonnie! I hope you'll be able to share these ideas and others this Sunday 7/25 at the Design meeting. There is plenty of space for trails - where shall we make them?

Don, this is terrific and timely feedback, thank you. We want to ensure that the property and all its systems embody regenerative and climate resilient practices. This Sunday, 7/25, there will be focus group discussions on site from 4-6pm. One of the theme areas will be Landscape & Natural Resources. I hope you'll consider sharing these ideas in person. But if you can't make it, the architects will also be reviewing this feedback. Thank you again.

Great idea(s) here, Susan!

These are terrific ideas, Catie! The property's border is Lagunitas creek, and we'll work with the community to develop a river access plan once the housing is underway. A community tool library is also a great idea, I hope you can come on Sunday to share these things, while also brainstorming with other community members.

Thank you, Kaye. This is so important. At least 15% of the homes will be ADA accessible, including ground floor units in the townhomes, and ADA accessible apartments in the dormitory building. It is very important to us to provide accessible homes that also allow people to age in place.

Thanks for this thoughtful feedback, Leslie! Naming what our community needs/lacks is helpful - to see if this can be accommodated at this neighborhood, and if not, the community can discuss what other site could be considered. This is a rich and timely conversation for the Pt. Reyes/Inverness community! The summer Neighborhood Design Gathering series will help us have these kinds of conversations.

A beautiful vision, Madeline - and I look forward to hearing what emerges as we come together in the summer meetings. The second meeting on 7/25 will allow focused time to hear ideas from the community and begin to weave things - like what you've mentioned here - into the site design. This is very exciting.

These are great ideas, Mark! Let's see how we can flesh out the history of the site and bring it forward into the design process. I see a call to local historian Dewey Livingston in the near future!

Thanks for bringing this up, Mark. We welcome ideas in the summer meetings about the riparian area of the site! We envision restoration, a path with interpretation/education, and much more - but because this will involve other stakeholders (like natural resource organizations, and also involve the adjoining property owners), this will be a substantial process unto itself. We want to ensure the housing is completed as soon as possible, and once that is underway we can turn our attention to the riparian portion.

Thanks for this feedback, Mark. Yes, the last question is very important as it holds a space for ideas to come forward that are not set up by other questions. We really value all feedback, questions, ideas, that people want to share.

This is a great vision, Madeline! Thank you for outlining these possible facets that would all work together.
