(this comment may be too late, Jan2023) A walkway/bike path mounted below streetlevel on the upriver side of the bridge would be an attractive part of the riverwalk LA loop. In the middle of the bridge, the path structure could widen into a viewing area to watch the falls.

Access from downtown to the riverfront is poor. Please prioritize better connections, e.g. fixing the pedestrian bridge at the foot of Ash St, and then a path down to Lincoln St, etc
