Interesting. So no senior residents from 80 Rutgers will be moved or displaced, temporary or permanent? And all of the seniors-avg age 90-who would never survive a displacement, will remain in their current apartments without fear of moving? You also seem to be forgetting that ALL of the housing that was part of the long term residential development plan from the 70's was AFFORDABLE. Every single unit. This aint that. This is crazy. And none of it on top of a building. Your retail options are exactly the same as Extel is building. Except you want to replace the little bit of greenspace in front of 80 with what exactly? And if Extel builds the pharmacy and supermarket-you will do the same? You need to refocus on the people who live on that block and who are most effected. This marketing courbanize ploy will not work for the people who live there. According to the news, neither JDS or the land owners, are doing anything for the actual residents of 82 Rutgers who are facing the possibility of up to 4 super towers within a few feet of their front door. A supertall over a senior building is just morally wrong no matter what "unused air rights". You show me where they anyone has built a supertall over a Senior building--where people live 24/7. You'd be less controversial offering the residents of 82 Rutgers a temporary relo and a return to better apartments by replacing 82 Rutgers with a supertall

Jonathan-do you realize that the average age of the seniors in that building is 90? And they all speak Chinese/Mandarin/Cantonese? You need to hire translators if you are going to work in Chinatown.

Respect the people who live on that block, period. This isn't a public project like your other ventures. This sits on top of a senior building and next to an affordable building-on private land. How can you possibly support displacing low-income, 90 yr old, Asian seniors? How about starting with the people who live in those two buildings first. Respect their right to privacy. Not to the internet world.
