I think the space could be better used than the currently designed gas station.

It's design is outdated, with inefficient use of space. Not very attractive.

Create an elevated pedestrian overpass and park space to cross the traffic at LaSalle and Clark that leads to the park. Think about the beauty and functionality that the 606 brought to Bucktown and create an Old Town version of that that links and safely connects and moves people.

> This station is used by ... many people outside the Old Town neighborhood
Which is a great reason to get rid of it and provide services, housing, and amenities to those who actually live in the neighborhood.

It's a poorly activated space. It is uninviting to pedestrians.

On the ground floor, one or more restaurants as well as a small market. Above that, residential and office space. At least five storeys worth of development. Given the high rise across the street, it could stretch up to 60 storeys.

None. Cars park on the sidewalk, pollute the air, and use it as a cut through between Clark and LaSalle.

Chicago desparately needs more housing supply. This is a good project.

More housing, more ground-level retail! Create jobs and amenities for Chicagoans, not drivers.

Waste of space, and contributes to climate change.
This location is too valuable for its current uses. The new development should include dense, mid and high-rise buildings that engage passersby on the ground levels. Uses should include several hundred units of for-rent and/or for-sale housing at multiple affordability levels (20% affordable on-site) and sizes (studios up to 3 or 4 bedroom units), ground/top floor restaurant/retail, and a reasonable amount of underground or wrapped parking (no more than 1 space per residential unit). Improved pedestrian, bike, and bus infrastructure is severely needed on the roads bordering the site.
