This is supposed to be part of the West Newton Washington St. project. Tell the City Council to approve and fund this project.

I is great to see that others think the sidewalk are an embarrassment. After all the work and cost of putting in those beautiful red bricks then patching it with blacktop makes it look like a village that ran out of money or maybe just that the councilman does not care. West Newton is a great village but the sidewalks look like they belong in a 3rd rate town. West Newton taxpayers need their tax dollars to be used to fix the West Newton sidewalks.

Both Fessenden and Newton need to take action with the heightened use of Fessenden's fields.

Add angle parking adjacent to the new Fessenden fields. The Sunday parking situation. Is dangerous with the fields on both side of the brook in use as well as the weekly Sunday use of Day Middle school.

Connecting this with the Charles River bikeway would be a great addition to Newton's bike effort.

Washington Street along the pike is a scar running through the city that should be able to present great development and community opportunities. Whether it's parking, green space, retail, bike lanes, or some other unthought of plan there is a great need to reconnect the two sides of Newtonville with each other. A design charrette and coming up with a master plan that pre-approved smart development and that worked in conjunction with Massport would be a great opportunity for growth while improving the pedestrian experience. These kind of places abound and need to be considered preemptively

This intersection has several fender benders each year. Even bicyclist do not see the danger when entering this intersection. As a cut thought from Washington to Waltham Sts it is very busy at rush hour. Some of the accidents are caused by a car stopping to let a car go infront of them while another car or biker passes that car on the right. Please consider a pedestrian extension into the street to prevent that.

There are zero crosswalks or stop signs along the entire length of Watertown Street between Albemarle and West Newton. This creates a very unsafe situation for pedestrians.

Zone the area over the turnpike btwn Star and Walnut bridge so a park can be built there bringing all of Newtonville together. That is, both sides of the turnpike.

It is very risky for ped to cross there as cars speed over the bridge.

Bike path thru West Newton or some where in the area, via removing obstacles on sidewalks so there is room for peds and bikes. Thanks

This corner lot was originally a buildable lot. It is the same size as many of the other lots with homes. Newton needs more affordable homes and these lots were designed for that purpose. If you are sincere about affordable housing this single family lot needs to be returned to build-able status.

Fix the sidewalks along the route to the train. It's falling apart.
