Mixed used with single family homes and town houses (we already have enough apartments in the area), with walk friendly green space (like Suwannee Town center). A private industry/government sponsored high tech campus and on the job training center. A community senior center. Satellite county government functions, so people don't have to go to Lawrenceville for basic services.

afford a home even on a single income. New ranch homes for older people who don't want 400K plus mcmansions or lead painted houses from the 60's and 70's or money pits requiring constant upkeep from the 80's and 90's. I have been looking for 5 years in gwinnett and can't find a new ranch home for less than almost $500K. Not possible on a single income!

What about creating either an area for economic growth similar to ATL tech village, there’s plenty of space. For Gwinnett though to improve the economy here. Also, maybe a mixed-used development with a Whole Foods. We don’t have a whole foods in Buford Georgia yet, the closest one is in Alpharetta. Additionally can do something similar to Avalon in Alpharetta. Bring the IT businesses back in and continue growing our tech sector in Gwinnett and Metro Atlanta. Or a food market like Krog Street Market/Ponce, etc.

Good afternoon My name is Karla and I'm a resident of Gwinnett County. I heard there was discussion about what to do with the old mall. I think it's time to revisit extending Marta to Pleasent Hill. It would be a perfect area for residents to ride into the city, lots of parking, and like Penn Station in New York the option to put up shops is there. I have grown up knowing that mall and would love it to be put to good use. Hope there can be a solution soon.

Gwinnett Place Mall was a very nice place to shop but these are my thoughts for the future. Gwinnett Place Mall should be more than a mixed use development with retail establishments, restaurants, and residential dwellings. It should house affordable family entertainment, a youth and young adult entrepreneurial center, a resource center for Gwinnett residents that deal with issues that we will face in the future, like natural catastrophies, shortage of water, healthy food and future pandemics. Offer free or affordable training classes on all of these areas including basic first aid, free CPR classes, job training specific to the industries who are located in Gwinnett county.

Tear down the current structure and rebuild as a mixed use community… Give it the outdoor yet walkable feel of Avalon…
