To echo Amanda's comment, the town is sorely lacking an indoor aquatics facility. A community pool would benefit all ages, offering everything from swim lessons to aqua-therapy. Many surrounding towns have built sustainable aquatics facilities that substantially add to the quality of life in their communities. A few examples would be the Beede Center in Concord, the Kennedy Pool in Somerville, and the Wayland Town Pool.

A lot of us connect with community here through the schools or through our kids' activities (the wonderful theatre program, soccer, dance, etc). But a community pool would be a great addition to town. It would be a place for people to connect--kids would hang out there and be safe, older people would come, families would come to open swim. There would be special events too and summer camp. It could really enhance life here.
