All good in principle, but the new block doesn't seem to have any relation to the old mansion.
Not an architectural triumph at all.
Even stepping back the top story to give a more gradual rise would help.
Can you move the verticals so they line up with the mansion's verticals?
Can you change the surfaces to work with the mansion's look?
(Frost Terrace, a CoRubanize development, on Mass Ave is an example that works well, without the new construction being neo-Victorian.)
