I want to suggest PAPERMILL ACRES as the new name for the for the Coast Guard housing complex and Miwok Way for the street name. Papermill is the local name for the creek that runs next to the complex and out to Tomales Bay. Seems perfect to me! Miwok of course is the name of the first peoples who lived here for centuries before us. That street name would be an elegant homage to their culture, the land that sustained them and which will provide shelter for the people who will come to live in that neighborhood and our community.
