As an artist and landscape architect from the area, these should be the priorities for BRN: 1-Flood-resistant designs for all assets on site (not just to 100/500-yr flood levels, which are outdated) 2-High-quality artist studios/exhibition space (w/ real frontage, serious windows, and option to purchase on some, in both buildings) 3-A name and natural systems design that befits the unique site (industrial, riverine, airy, tons of vegetation). -Please consider these naming candidates and credit if any are used (“Broad” refers to the original Cherokee for the river, Agigua): -The Broad -The Broad Mills -The Broad Studios (or Studios @ The Broad) -Riverlink Mills -The Riverlink

After listening to the first community meeting I have a few follow up questions. First, has there been any kind of traffic impact study? Second, it seems the development is asking for a variance on the parking requirements from the City(if there are less parking spaces currently planned than there are apartments? disregarding needs for additional commercial space parking) or what is the dialogue around what the City is asking for regards to parking?

The best quality is the river and the unique industrial vibe. I would like to see more artists studios and perhaps some restaurants, but nothing of this size.

Please do not build this. The lot would certainly benefit from a mixed use development, but the building proposed is inappropriate

Leave the site alone or build something in the scale of what’s there.
