I think Gantry park in Long Island City has the perfect mix of open space for adult outdoor classes, places to sit and playgrounds with interactive elements. I would not like to see dog runs installed in the limited area considered, mostly because of the maintenance associated with keeping those areas safe and clean.

I think Steinway street does benefit from ground floor retail businesses; however the upper floors of the buildings in this area are not suitable to higher end commercial use that could help landlords subsidize smaller shops.
