I encourage the planners to commit the time and resources to real, substantive, open community input above & beyond the usual formal channels of civic associations and neighborhood groups. Delighted to volunteer time and effort toward this input process.

Community ownership led primarily by nonwhite nondevelopers (through civic groups, community bonds, NGO, co-op, CBO, or other structure). Plaques/art installations outlining Dot's history from the many vantage points of the many people who have called Dot their home, in many languages. Open space for community celebrations of all kinds. Always open to the public, always free.

I'd visit the DotGreenway once a day!

Yes to picnic tables! Urban garden plots and flower gardens, friendly to birds and city wildlife. Spots for rotating public art installations. Small gathering spaces. NOT a playground with equipment - but yes to open field play space.

Combination public parks and community gardens: with free and open participation + community ownership and maintenance. Flowers, vegetable plots, places to walk and sit, benches and tables for meetings and small group picnics.
