Small owned black or brown coffee shop. Grocery store like Trader Joe’s. A play place for kids.

Trader Joe’s! It’s more affordable than other big chain grocery stores and there isn’t one nearby. The closest one is all the way in the South Loop or in Lincoln Park or Oak Park. (In addition to a locally owned grocery store option, of course.)

Offer business training courses and certifications; create business incubators (L1 business accelerator through Arts & Public Life is a good model); bring in speakers and uplift local examples of neighborhood folks being entrepreneurs

My priority is for this development to create a lively pedestrian-oriented part of a neighborhood. The project should reflect the unique culture of the neighborhood and it's rich history. High quality design and materials and well thought out landscaping are very important to me. The project should also provide opportunities for local businesses and to increase the wealth of neighborhood residents.

My priorities are to have sufficient healthy food, educational facilities ie libraries, and recreational facilities. The development should try to mirror the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
