There is already a poplice precinct in the area. With more actvity in the area crime would go down as crime thrives in araes with little activity (i.e. witnesses).

The availability of affordable housing in our county is almost non existent. For lower income families or elderly people or even anyone who is working and still struggling to pay high rental payments in the so called affordable range . I would like to see dorm style or studio apartments with lower rent for all. The amount of people looking to rent a room is astounding. And the extended stay hotels are so overly high priced and most are never able to save to get out of the cycle. If it was affordable and maybe had access to a cafeteria for residents , laundry facilities and more all in the mall itself . Even homelessness could be cut and make it where the average person has hope of living in a safe environment and able to live and work even in the facility.

I'd love to see an arts center, one that the community and community organizations can actually afford. It would also be a good way to show how Gwinnett/Duluth supports the arts, not just says so.

I have learned the reason crime -we just don' t call the chief of police and meet regular( once a month) as a community to keep on top of things and The Karen calls need to stop going to 911 and Gwinnett needs to vote in Karen law because 1in 3 911 calls are Karen calls , Ridiculous .

The mall can become a multi-use center to promote sustainability and agricultural education as well as promote local farming by creating a farmer’s market, utilizing the ample space for sustainable farming techniques such as vertical farming and aquaponics farming, and the installation of food shops (stalls and restaurants) to attract business in a self-sustained environment which utilize local products and those from the vertical farms located in the mall. The vertical farm and food businesses can use a portion of its parking lot and the mall’s roof to place solar arrays to provide a portion of its energy needs. Food scraps from the neighboring restaurants in Gwinnett County and those located within the mall as well as discarded product from the farmer’s market can be used to create compost and energy for electricity and heat similar to The Plant (https://www.plantchicago.org/) in Chicago and others. Market research shows vertical farming industry is expected to grow to a value of $3 billion by 2024 and has created high value companies. The promotion of innovative sustainable farming and local farming in this center along with the accompanying farmer’s market and restaurants provide boost to the economy, education, and sustainability.

Whatever is done should be not require increased property taxes or SPLOST. Gwinnett taxes are much too high already and the county commission uses every excuse to continue raising them. Don't let this be just another excuse. The property should be developed and maintained from revenue generated on the property (sales, rentals, permits, etc) and not by milking the taxpayers.

I first visited Gwinnett Place Mall in 1988, and I was the only person of color walking through the mall at that time. Later the mall began to exhibit more diversity, which created a more comfortable environment. My family is mixed (Black /White) so only I stood out. The design of this mall was never welcoming to me as a community member nor a shopper, so when Discovery Mills opened I immediately went there to shop and later added The Mall of Georgia,I never shopped again at Gwinnett place mall. There is nothing besides the food court area to attract young people to this Mall. Later when cops bagan harassing young people of color hanging out in the food court area, parents (black & white ) wouldn't allow their children to hang out there anymore. They all began to patronize the Mall of Georgia due to the lack of harassment. The young children of color could enjoy themselves shopping, watching a movie, and eating.Young black people make up a large portion of consumers, however the discrimination caused Gwinnett mall to suffer the consequences of their actions, leading to the mall to be in the decimated state it is in now.
THE BLACK MAN DROPPED THE WEAPONS AND WAS TAKING INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT HARM . AMAZING-
WE NEED TO GET CONFEDERATE REFUGEES OF GWINNETT POLICE FORCE........
