I’d like to be able to answer “All of the above” sometimes. And if you haven’t heard from those of us who live nearby and support reducing the impact of cars on our neighborhood: the project ought to hold onto a focus on human beings, not cars. Highlight and support pedestrian/bikes access. Help Slow Down Talbot Avenue Traffic.

I've already suggested this but we need a local launderette/cafe. Do your laundry, have coffee/eat breakfast.

I agree that there is too much wasted roadway by this site that should be captured and converted into useful space. I think the city should transfer some of that land to the project in exchange for more affordability in the housing units.

And the demolition delay process (Article 85) will give another opportunity for neighbors to weigh in.

I understand that you are gathering ‘votes’ on ideas that are already supported by the developer but it would be nice to have more flexibility in responses. I live very close by and would love to be able to share more thoughts: bike parking onsite, a space for residents without yards to garden, urban orchard (fruit trees we residents can harvest from), sustainability activity educational demonstrations onsite like the rainwater garden and storm water retention project at Ashmont and the Loesch’s solar house close by. Will there be a link to the Dot Greenway through Argyle Terrace?

I know it's likely been pursued already (and likely been shot down due to the city being difficult), but really push to get the lined-off section of street in front of the building included in this project. If there's anything the public can due to get that piece of street turned into a park, let us know how we can help.

A well-designed, aesthetically pleasing, safe, and well-maintained area that supports a wide variety of activities while connecting neighbors to each other and to local businesses.

Also, lighting used for safety should not be intrusive to abbutters. So, natural berms around fixtures blocking the light from shinning on abutters would be appreciated. The Minuteman Trail does this well, I believe.

I'm not Charles but I can say a few specific things I like about the Somerville Community Path:
- well-lit, clean, and safe
- well-maintained surface so it's easy to ride a bike or push a stroller
- works well as both a way to commute (e.g. connects residential neighborhoods to the Davis Sq T) and as a strolling destination
Have the organizers of this effort connected with the Friends of the Community Path organization in Somerville/Cambridge? I think it would be well worth sharing knowledge. https://www.facebook.com/pg/FriendsoftheCommunityPath/about/

I am in a unique position an an abutter to the Greenway. Our condo building is at 1861 Dorchester Avenue. I am 100% for the Greenway and would love to see it used by the community. I would also like the project to be respectful to neighbors, including construction schedule and eventual security between our property and theirs. Very, very excited for this project.

Include universal accessibility and sustainability using solar-power, rainwater retention, recycled materials, etc. - with accessible info about these efforts onsite.

Groceries and prepared foods would be a real boon to the neighborhood. I would definitely patronize a store where I could pick up essentials like milk, but also a spot where I could get a take-away sandwich.

A grocery store with fresh produce, fresh bread, wine and locally sourced meats and fish would be great. No need for extra parking if it is going to be a small but specialized neighborhood grocer.

In a city, and within a stone's throw of a train station and 3 car-sharing lots, there is no need for off street parking. We are not in the suburbs.

This would be a great addition to the neighborhood! I would love to see a small grocery/prepared foods store. Trying to get to Shaws on Morrisey blvd is not easy from our neighborhood. I would love to be able to walk to a market daily. I envision a small scale Trader Joes or a Milton Market Place Fruit Center (for those who have visited Milton or Hingham shop.) The Fruit center has it all - grocery, deli, prepared foods, butcher, and an amazing salad bar. I hope this project gets approved and brings great things to our neighborhood!
