Do a pilot program of rental bike stations that offer monthly or annual subscriptions especially at apartment complexes so apartment dwellers can utilize bikes rather than cars. Have rental bike hubs at UM Hospital, grocery stores, athletic venues and downtown areas in Ann Arbor, Ypsi other cities

In terms of GHG mitigation, it’s imperative the county urges the cities and townships, and especially Pittsfield township to reject or renege on any proposals of development that would contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. This includes the new Amazon delivery hub that is set to be placed adjacent to Ford Heritage Park, Ford Lake, the Ypsilanti District Library, and multiple preschools. This brings up the issue of environmental justice which should be a major component of this plan and not just an aspect. This plan should ensure that historically oppressed groups such as people of color, disabled populations, lgbtq folks, and people with lower incomes have equal access to environmental goods and protection from environmental degradation. It's also important that this plan acknowledges how racial injustice and climate injustice are linked. For instance, per my own geospatial analysis I have found that the flood hazards in Washtenaw county residents who are at the intersection of low income and Black, brown, or people of color. This is something that needs to be resolved and requires more than a goal of carbon neutrality by 2035.

There is perhaps no spot in northern Washtenaw more notorious to pedestrians and cyclists than North Main. Improving connectivity from Huron River Drive and Whitmore Lake Road to North Main and the parks nearby should be a top priority. This intersection separates N. Ann Arbor from outlying areas to the north and west, and divides Northeast Ann Arbor from the west.
