upstairs, some rent-controlled apts w/a city 99 lease or they will disappear and affordable condos, living space 30 % of bldg., no suggestions on stores but a high quality coffee shop by the subway would be a huge winner (local).

use the wood from the church as ceilings an/or walls and the floors must be beautiful.

as a garden patio. Ashmont grili made a lame attempt. No offence, chris. the view is bleak, so it will be a challenge.

I think it’s important to promote walking and biking as the better way to get around the city. It’s important to make it clean, safe and accessible.

I, perhaps, have been a bit harsh on the "powers that be", but I have little faith in those very people. As a person who has lost a vertebrate (L1) and is about to have a hip replacement due to a car accident, I now see the world from a very different perspective. Try limping w/a cane through the unmarked miles of walkways through Downtown Crossing.
I am encouraged by the outpouring of responses, But I can't get over the feeling such a great opportunity will be squandered and will not be what building seems to want.
I hate to be Debby Downer, but as our community is to be a major user of this wonderful idea, and as a growing interest is apparent, I hope we can get the city to pay attention to our ideas.

Along the path. Any Congregation of any one specific thing including playgrounds would keep people from continuously moving and therefore annoy abutters.

I envision a walking/biking path that is both functional and appealing visually. Maybe a design that includes some markers along the length of the path that highlights some historic and interesting facts Dorchester past and present.

Let's see what happens. There are many incompetent people w/too many stupid ideas and too much power to make a wonderful idea suck.

Having previously lived in Cambridge, I experienced a path from Alewife through Arlington to Lexington and it is beautiful! This proposal suggests public gardens, and i know from past experience the gardens will magically appear as abutters will step up to the plate as it will be their back yards people will pass by. The path in Camb., etc. is used constantly by many, many folks, even for short walks and you can't beat the scenery. And no cars. It's safe as there are so many houses along the route, day or night plus it's a good shortcut from station to station. As for public art, which I completely support, appropriately sized art would also be a plus. And the art would be in a place where there is a lot of "foot traffic". It is a winning proposal. I support this concept in a big way!
