That's great news! Thank you for the update!

That would be great, thank you. I walk this route every day, multiple times a day and I've witnessed on too many occasions cars coming around that corner not yielding for pedestrians crossing Wadsworth, but worse, not realizing that as they make the turn there are pedestrians crossing Amherst. This is exacerbated by service trucks that park on the corner there and make it difficult for cars turning from Wadsworth onto Amherst to see pedestrians.

Given the new traffic pattern from construction, a stop sign should be installed on the corner of Amherst and Wadsworth so that cars don't careen around the corner and endanger pedestrians.

Two issues with this update: 1. This traffic pattern requires residents to drive around the entire block to access Amherst street via Wadsworth from Main. Is construction ongoing on that block of Wadsworth (between Amherst & Main)? If so, driving down Wadsworth to Amherst is frequently blocked by construction trucks. 2. This flow pattern also requires residents who use the upper ramp entrance (to drop off groceries, elderly residents etc) to then drive around the ENTIRE block around construction again to access the underground parking--rather than simply driving 100m down Amherst to the parking entrances. Police and construction should give dispensation to residents who use the ramp to then access their paid parking lot without the additional 10 min drive around construction (which again, is frequently blocked by construction truck movement).

These traffic patterns are inconvenient and circuitous to the residents of 100 Memorial Drive. It's difficult to get in and out and then, when you exit one direction in the morning, you return in the evening to a completely different traffic pattern. This is compounded to the daily construction sound and semi regular water and internet interruptions. It's really untenable and I don't see how MIT thinks they are at all preserving any of the quality and lifestyle for the residents.
