I love this new location for the Farmer's Market! It feels much more connected to the downtown, and it's so much nicer being away from the traffic of main street. I hope that it becomes the permanent home for the market. Already the market has made measurable improvements to the site, but I could see it growing and beautifying the space even more.

An enclosed Handicapped accessible rest room(s), near to the Veterans Park thus allowing older folks to feel a little more comfortable when coming to events here.

The bridge is very unfriendly to non-motorized users and the extreme width promotes excessive speed. If the four lanes were narrowed and the turning lanes shortened then there could be a decent bike/pedestrian esplanade on one or both sides.

I agree that convenient parking is helpful, and would like to point out that there are several large parking garages in the vicinity.

There needs to be pedestrian access somewhere between Main Street and Chestnut Street. Right now the Riverfront Island area is very disconnected from downtown and there is no clear way to travel between them.

This would be such a huge asset to the neighborhood around Sunnyside Park where I live. There is no easy way to get downtown on a bicycle - you have to cross Main street and it's always daunting even though there are some well-marked pedestrian crossings. Extending the riverside trail would make so much sense for safety and enjoyment!

This would be amazing - I love the pedestrian trail by Sunnyside park and a longer path would be a huge asset and allow for so much more access to downtown via bike, walking, roller blading, running, etc...

Extend the riverside bicycle and pedestrian trail south from Sunnyside Park so it connects with Simard-Payne Park as well as the riverwalk in Auburn.

I love the idea of lighting down the canals! I think of providence rhode island's WaterFire event. Along the canal bridges too.

The canals would be so beautiful if well maintained! I could see bike paths on both sides for bikers and pedestrians, with benches alongside to stop and look at the water. It would be awesome during winter freezes to have skating down the canals as well (check out Ottawa Canada for some awesome inspiration there).

A desígnate bike lane to easily cross between Lewiston and Auburn would be great
