I have posed this to different city employees and local advocates and I think it would be great if people were able to work of their parking tickets, fines, etc. with community service hours. There are several amazing community organizations that are always in need of volunteers and it would give people an opportunity to meet local organizations doing great things to improve the community and also would help people that are very low-income or struggling financially.

The eight bus stalls at 5th and Penn Streets are taking up valuable space that could be converted to 50 parking spaces or more. As redevelopment occurs around Alvernia's downtown campus, there will be increased demand for parking in an area that is already terribly lacking in parking spaces. This should be a high priority.

There needs to be enforcement of existing parking laws pronto! I understand parking spaces are limited but it is dangerous to be parked on corners at the yellow curbs, and there are many violations on EACH block in the city. It is near impossible to see oncoming traffic & pedestrians because each block has cars that go literally end to end, right to the end of the street.

It's the double parking that makes driving and parking in the city really difficult. Folks throw on their hazard lights anywhere they like in the street and consider themselves parked. We need enforcement for these laws!
