Open/nature-orientated space around the homes. This could include walking paths, trees, and garden plots. I hope that solar is ket source of energy and the panels are tastefully mounted on the home rooftops.

Is there a consolidated list of proposed neighborhood and street names? The forum thread is long and I would like to see the name suggestions.

I would hope some land could be set aside for the residents to have their own food gardens - a plot for each resident like in Europe. Or they could do coop plots.

Housing, sustainability of nature (animals, plants, water, etc.), local community building, and access to West Marin everything.

The Promenade I like the name “The Promenade” for the community. Most people who live in or visit West Marin either walk or ride their bikes around the landscape. The Promenade, defined by Oxford dictionary as “a paved public walk, typically one along a waterfront at a resort…to take a leisurely public walk, ride, or drive so as to meet or be seen by others” encapsulates the essence of these activities throughout Point Reyes Station and West Marin. Plein Air Way I like the name “Plein Air Way” for the street name. Plein Air is a French term for “outdoors”. Per artistnetwork.com, “Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of your studio behind and experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape.” Most Plein Air artists set up their painting equipment on a street, focus their attention to the beauty of the local landscape, and commemorate that beauty for all to see. This name reminds us to step outside and consider and treasure the beauty that surrounds us. Using the term “Way” reinforces the artistic and outdoor, nature loving *way* of living of West Marin.
