Social services for all the drug addicts. Also a jobs center because a lot of people don’t have work. Coffee shop. A locally owned and run breakfast place. A bar.

They should be constucted with materials that will not degrade after 10 years. It is important that these items are selected for long-term mindsets to make it a stable asset to the community.

Our neighborhood is in great need for gathering amenities. We have no public library, no grocery store, no dog park, no coffee shops, etc. It is important that public space is created to draw more people and investments to our community.

For me creating some sort of retail hub would be first. Shop, dine, drink. Wicker Park had the intersection of North/Milwaukee and Damen and things spread from there. Logan Square also has a stretch of Milwaukee, Pilsen has 18th St., Little Village 26th St. West Garfield I would say has Madison Ave., battered as it is, but East Garfield I don't feel has a real center. I'm hoping lake St. also becomes a corridor.

This is hard for me to answer. I would say create a cohort of people that want to create businesses and teach them every step of the way, let them feel like a community, and have guidance and financial help.

I leave the neighborhood for everything. The dollar store and liquor store are even closed now. I would start with groceries, but restaurants, places to eat breakfast, even nail salons and stuff.
