Focus on drawing in new companies to the area, not just in retail. People need shorter commutes to career positions. Also, attracting some quality restaurants that offer a diverse selection of cuisine would be great. So many resultants in Brentwood simply aren’t good. Check out the Yelp reviews for anything here, you’ll be hard pressed to find anything over 3 stars. Concord, Livermore, Walnut Creek etc have excellent restaurants. As Brentwood becomes more diverse and expands we can’t have everyone of the residents waiting in line at In-N-Out (on a side note, that’s the worst parking lot design I’ve ever experienced, to the point it’s actually dangerous, about that mistake)

Dog parks, tennis courts, trees. The best parks have many diverse recreation activities and lots of open space with large trees for shade and to reconnect with the earth/greenery

Brentwood needs more professional/career opportunities. It’s a ghost town during the week as everyone is commuting long distances to jobs in the central Bay Area. Most of those jobs could be moved out here through satellite offices. We certainly don’t need any more housing for people of any age. The infrastructure here is not suited for it without substantial increases in the availability of other things. Places to shop, quality restaurants to eat at, fun communal experiences. Things that draw people in. My wife and I spend most of our time in other cities because there are very few good places to eat at and not many great social events. More opportunities for community nights out, food trucks, music, that sort of thing.

The Mokelumne curve because I felt like it had the best combination of design for linking both sides of Hwy 4 and the trail system. The green space also seemed the most useful when positioned along the trail, enhancing both features.
