This intersection is very dangerous to cross as a pedestrian. The lights are short and require you to stop in the median and wait for a second light. Hopefully this entire intersection will be improved and redesigned with pedestrian safety in mind when the new bridge to Charlestown is built!

Install 2-3 tennis courts under the Zakim bridge. With the bridge as a free roof, tennis can still be played in light rain, and lights can be installed on bridge surface. Tennis courts work best in groups of two or more so waiting groups have less delay before a court opens.

Push closing times back to 4 A.M. in select areas, like the Late Night Task Force suggests! Boston is increasingly becoming an international destination, and it's one of the youngest cities in the country. Embrace that energy! Let us see a show and go get a drink, instead of having to choose. Many of us don't work longer than 9-5 (tech, medical, industry, etc.) and therefore can't reasonable enjoy the city's nightlife for more than an hour or two. Let us enjoy our city!

All these ramps are ugly and noisy and create a huge gap in the Greenway. Let's find a way to cover them over with new buildings/parks!

What happened to the plans for scheduled ferry service between East Boston, South Boston and Charlestown? This would be a great transportation alternative.
"With the assistance of a $1.28 million US Department of Transportation grant, procuring two ferries and implementing ferry service between South Boston and East Boston; Service is anticipated for a 2014 launch"

Piers Park Phase II... make it happen! This part of the park should include active play areas. An outdoor swimming pool would be amazing. Imagine a beautiful pool (not a spray deck) with views of the Boston skyline. Other cities have nice pools, why not this one?

Let's take inventory of ALL city and state owned surface parking lots like this one and come up with a better use for this land! Parks, bike lanes, wider sidewalks, performing arts, ground floor retail, affordable housing or literally anything else but parking!

Extend the Blue Line one stop to Charles/MGH, where pre-construction for an underground Blue Line terminus already exists

The blue line and red line really should connect. The blue line has a fantastic connection to the airport, east boston, and points further north - all of these places are relatively disconnected from cambridge (currently requiring multiple transfers on other lines). For example, the silver line accommodates many people trying to get from the airport to cambridge, but it's a highly indirect route that is already quite full most of the time. The terminus of the blue line could really be improved to make it more useful.

How awesome would it be to have a fully connected bike/walk trail (extension of the Charles River bike path) that went all the way around the waterfront of Boston? With outdoor cafes and Hubway stops along the way?

We need to continue to develop downtown to have better access to the harbor. Cafe's and bars on the harbor etc. lets take advantage of the fact that we are one of worlds great harbor cities and yet few people can access this great amenity.

Expand the harbor ferries to make them a true work and entertainment option. The current MBTA ferry only has one route and it should have about 10 stops in the inner harbor.

The silver line and blue line should connect. This would make it so much easier for East Boston to connect to the Seaport, and would require no new infrastructure!

Improve waterfront behind shopping center - create extension of harbor walk, improve retail and plan for improvements to connect neighborhood to waterfront ... while also providing solution to address flooding here

It would be awesome if there was a way to walk or bike from East Boston to downtown. Also the plans I have seen for the blue line becoming redundant to the D line seemed very smart. I would appreciate more bus routes that took you from Eastie to Cambridge. Let's catch up to other great cities around the world.

The area immediately surrounding the maverick square t entrance should be expanded as a park/pedestrian only plaza. There are too many cars and too much traffic that makes his a very unfriendly place to walk. And a big public plaza might be an enticing tourist attraction for those at Logan with a long layover and some time to kill just one blue line stop away! It would even help Eastie traffic as people use the two hour parking spots in the area as free park and ride access to downtown.

How about a pedestrian bridge or tram to connect east Boston to the north end!

Let's make this area a park or public plaza instead of a parking lot for court employees!

Let's make Hanover Street (and Salem Street for that matter) pedestrian only! These streets are already a mess with cars and taxis and double parking tourists, a car free stretch would be a huge draw and it would allow all of the restaurants to expand their outdoor seating in the warmer months.
