We've had people living in the South End ask for a communal waste drop off spot. This would include furniture and large item disposal, a take one, leave one "shed" for items that are still in good condition, and recycling/compost drop off.

I'm a 27 year old professional with a young family who lives, works, eats, and shops uptown. Duke Street has been my home for some time now and as much as I love our neighbourhood and the community that's been cultivated, I'm becoming increasingly concerned with the degree of gentrification spreading towards the lower South End.

I understand the city's desire to celebrate investment in historical properties, but increasingly we're seeing affordable apartments rennovated and targeted towards baby boomers or high income youth. Where are our low income neighbours supposed to go? Where will they be pushed to?

A school is an important piece of neighbourhood infrastructure. If we want families to populate the neighbourhood we need good, modern schools.
