Build carbon sequestering, wetlands replication project in the median along this entire road. Use biomimicry to transform this neighborhood into thriving self-sustaining space for residents through motivation and policy that provides small business incentives and sustainable food growers opportunities to acquire real estate here.

Reduce the width of Gallivan Blvd and reduce the speed allowed. Add separated bike paths in place of the extra lanes.

Agree but one of the reasons it's probably underused is because biking in this area feels unsafe. Lanes are not well marked or non-existent in many areas of Dorchester. I love that there's a bike shed there but this should be prioritized along with other bike-related infrastructure.

The unused space above the Ashmont subway should be opened and used as a linear park. This concept has been tried successfully in many other cities and would be a great addition to Dorchester. In addition to being a great outdoor space, it would also provide a safe and scenic route for those on foot and bike.

Agreed -- this is a funny area because, especially in Port Norfolk, noise from the commuter rail and T passing overhead can be really loud, but residents don't benefit from proximity to transportation infrastructure when there's so little access!

For the Feds: Open Dot Ave... at least to pedestrian and bike traffic.

While Boston's summers are short, they are glorious! Relax the permitting process for outdoor dining. It draws people out to spend money locally with a halo effect on other local businesses.

This rotary is a major safety hazard and a huge traffic issue. It has come up in the past but there has never been a long term plan that is in place and funded. Work on this was part of the Olympics plan but now has been shelved again. This sees like a great infrastructure project to be tackled and committed to.

Agree, and it would be great to have a bike lane down Granite Ave so that those of us coming from the Adams/Ashmont neighborhood and beyond could access it safely by bike!

Redevelop this long abandoned parcel into offices. The workers can then utilize the restaurants/businesses of Adams Village, providing an economic boost to the village.

Connect the Harborwalk path and bikeway through this section to the Neponset River Greenway walkway. This area & south of it is the one missing link in the path that extends all the way to Castle Island.

Boston needs more coastal access points for small paddle craft (kayaks, etc...). We have been turned away from Carson Beach with our kayaks, but there aren't many other public locations in Boston with convenient parking that allow kayaking. As a waterfront city with a vibrant harbor, we should be encouraging low-impact water sports.
