Very important as we are all experienced now with "Sheltering in place", the fresh air of outdoors is now our saving grace. Open public spaces, benches, parks, playgrounds and walking paths are essential to our daily lives for all generations. And yes a place for pets too!

Yes, I would like to see the public space utilize platforms for artistic expression to hear and see the diverse voices from the entire community not just a few. To include storytellers, theatre artists, historians, and creatives, sharing with inter-generational audiences. Film festivals dedicated to particular groups and reflecting their unique experiences. Applied Theatre Performance where the audience participates, Community Sing (where we learn a song and sing together) Art Installations and Dance Parties all Free99!
When topics or performances are geared toward younger audiences then children get the closer seating. When subject matter for elders is center, then older and middle-agers take front and center seating.
Platforms for equitable, wider ranges of inclusion, to stimulate, educate, and build our community of humanity and shared values. I love Long Island City/Astoria. I grew up here and it is still one of the most beautiful areas in the city. Let us be leaders in Living-kind for ALL! Elders, Children, Youth and Tweens from everywhere you hail from may Astoria be seen as a place where all life is held in high esteem!! Love is the answer...and yes I will be one of the artists to share my brand of special sauce, to make you lips curl and your eyes shine! Looking forward to participating as we coUrbanize! Let's make an Astoria Gumbo! :) Rosalyn D. Temple rosalyn.temple@gmail.com
