I definitely don't see asphalt and parked cars there. I really applaud what you are proposing. It's green, fresh and inviting. Finally a public space north of the 40. Visiting parents or friends with all these amenities will definitely be a welcomed addition in my community. Glad to see someone is taking advantages of the easy public transit access !!

I think this would be a great place for a Holiday Market where local artists could showcase their work. Who knows, maybe even a small skating rink that would encourage residents to stay active outdoors year round.

The parking for the REM should be provided by the developers of the REM. It would be an unfair burden for third parties to have to make up for the shortfall of the REM rollout, especially seeing as these same developers are paying a special REM tax already.

My husband and I are finding it difficult to manage a large yard. Driving will become an issue as we get older. A community where we can rent a spacious condo or apartment is definitely in our plans in the next few years. Access to shopping, transportation, entertainment and outdoor space would be perfect for us.

I have watched closely as the plans evolved for this site over the past number of years and truly believe that what the town and the developer had agreed upon, by working together, was and remains an incredible project. As a resident of Pointe Claire, it is truly a shame to see a project like this blocked, let alone the manner in which it has been attempted. We will all benefit from a large public square far more than we would from a sea of asphalt which is currently the case. I'm saddened by the forthcoming waste of taxpayer dollars which will be required to fight this issue in the courts. Those dollars, which will add up considerably could be pumped back into our community where they belong. I would like to see more renderings on this website. It would help myself and others to better understand the public spaces and how the new built environment will look and feel when it is built.
