Are you still opening this month? Will retail open on day one or just the units?

Rental housing is the most meaningful contribution The Shawmut Project could bring to the neighborhood!

It is made of steel and concrete and was not damaged by the fire (or subsequent water)

What I like most about Trader Joe's is the gourmet / international vibe!

While that is true, the same could be said for benches. Given the location of the tunnel cap, I think it is unlikely that people would congregate for extended periods. It's more likely that they would hang out near Peabody Square.

I don't care about parking. I think we should be encouraging people to use public transportation.

Also, lighting used for safety should not be intrusive to abbutters. So, natural berms around fixtures blocking the light from shinning on abutters would be appreciated. The Minuteman Trail does this well, I believe.

Combination public parks and community gardens: with free and open participation + community ownership and maintenance. Flowers, vegetable plots, places to walk and sit, benches and tables for meetings and small group picnics.

closest to the T stations would probably make the most sense but really they could be anywhere! Outdoor gym should probably be the most secluded so people and onlookers feel comfortable.

I am in a unique position an an abutter to the Greenway. Our condo building is at 1861 Dorchester Avenue. I am 100% for the Greenway and would love to see it used by the community. I would also like the project to be respectful to neighbors, including construction schedule and eventual security between our property and theirs. Very, very excited for this project.

The DotGreenway will be best used as a place for public gardens!
