Very important! Great public spaces make a community! It’s what separates a neighborhood, from just a place to live.

What about a shared workspace for the mobile workforce? A meeting room with projectors and a conference table to host events and collaborative sessions? Starbucks can only go so far and my living room will certainly not count either.

Absolutely. I think this development is much-needed for South Steinway, which is getting increasingly dilapidated by the day. We need to avoid urban decay and this is a great way to accomplish that. I know there are many people saying "what about small businesses?", but the problem is that nowadays South Steinway is NOT an attractive place for a small business owner to open up shop. What mom-and-pop wants to open up a store when vacancies abound? This development will make South Steinway more attractive for new small businesses, and be a boon to the existing small businesses.

I approve! Something that will draw single parents and child caretakers (even fur mommies and daddies) to congregate and build a sense of community. and these spaces MUST be public. There is a lot of housing in 15 minutes walking distance that could use a beautiful new greenspace.

How do we revitalize Steinway between 30th avenue and 34th avenue as part of Innovations QNS? There are too many empty retail spaces. Yes, I know that revitalized modern spaces are sexy, but let's not forget the neighborhood cornerstones.

I'm worried about adding additional housing without additional infrastructure. We have crowded schools, crowded trains and a crowded hospital in the neighborhood.
